Before & After School Skill Based Programs
Little Bugs Sensory offers specialized Before‑ and After‑School programs that use sensory‑led, art‑based learning to support children’s cognitive and socio‑emotional development. Our small‑group approach encourages children to explore, create, and solve problems through hands‑on experiences that build confidence, curiosity and a strong sense of belonging. We intentionally design activities that develop sensory regulation, fine/gross motor skills, self‑expression and social skills — learning through play, discovery and meaningful projects.
We serve school‑age children ages 4–8 with daily pickup and drop‑off to and from Birchcliff Public School (Birchliff only). Our morning care runs 7:00 AM–8:30 AM and after‑school care runs from school pickup (~3:15 PM) to 6:00 PM. We also run full‑day programming for March Break, PA days and Summer Camp (8:00 AM–5:00 PM); caregivers must provide drop‑off and pick‑up for full‑day programs.
What makes Little Bugs Sensory different
Sensory‑first curriculum: activities are intentionally designed to meet children where they are — using sensory play and creative arts to support regulation, attention and learning.
Project‑based learning: children work on multi‑day projects that foster teamwork, persistence and mastery.
Small groups and individualized supports: our staffing and ratios allow us to tailor experiences and scaffold learning for each child.
HIGH FIVE® pathway: we are working toward HIGH FIVE® accreditation to ensure our programming meets recognized standards for healthy child development and quality recreation. This formal commitment underscores our emphasis on caring leaders, meaningful participation, play, friendships and mastery.
